DOES HYPNOSIS WORK?

a7e1bf51-21c5-4b4a-a709-ab5e09a1d923It’s funny to see people’s reactions when I mention hypnosis as an option for dealing with a stuck place or trauma. Most people think it means I will put them in a deep trance after which they will remember nothing, as depicted on some sensationalist TV shows in the past. Not only would I consider this unethical in a psychotherapy setting, but I question its usefulness! The approach I use is much more interactive and creative, while my client is either fully conscious or in a light trance.

What hypnosis approach do I use?

I have been trained in an approach called Depth Hypnosis, developed by Isa Gucciardi, who combined Transpersonal Psychology, Shamanism, Buddhism and hypnosis to create a powerful vehicle for healing. I have used Depth Hypnosis to address all kinds of stuck places and traumas in my clients’ lives. This includes, but is not limited to, anxiety, panic attacks, depression, procrastination, rape, abuse-and the list goes on. Basically, any stuck place with a lot of emotional charge can serve as the “target” for hypnosis. In fact, the more stuck and the more emotional charge there is around the issue, the better hypnosis seems to work.

ASTROLOGY EYE

This is from a favorite astrologer of mine called Lance check out his website here: http://skywatchastrology.com/

46LOOKING AHEAD: The astrological weather forecast for 2015 includes powerful storms, flights of fancy and brilliant solutions appearing quickly on stage-and leaving just as suddenly. The planet that rules changes, Uranus, is in the foreground most of the year. She is now traveling through Aries, the sign of new beginnings, encouraging all of us to reinvent a piece of our lives with the goal of finding a new freedom to express our wishes. She welcomes changes grown from the truth. Her rebel side will also appear in March as she squares Pluto again and becomes unpredictable and challenging.

Jupiter makes the most contacts with other planets in 2015. And that’s good- he brings energy and always stirs the pot. The stressful aspects will test your sense of proportion, while the positive connections Jupiter makes to Uranus and Pluto suggest an extremely successful business deal, marriage, new car or trip to the promised land rewarding you for your work and ideas. Plan something important in these months. Yes, yes, yes. There will be some big winners throughout the year in all categories with this much Jupiter action.

Venus is unusually powerful this year as she retrogrades back into romantic Leo and dances with sexy Mars throughout most of the year. There will be three exact conjunctions of Romeo and Juliet in three different signs in 2015: Aries, Leo and Virgo. Venus will also meet/conjunct lucky Jupiter in the heavens three times in the middle of her dalliance with Mars. This is a quite rare set of events and about as good as it gets with Venus-I’ve never seen her so involved and linked up in a good way with the other planets as much as she does this year. As above, so below.

And a little warning note from me: Don’t forget that Mercury turns retrograde from Jan 21st- Feb 11th. This is not a good time to make any big purchases or to sign any important contracts- Best to wait. You can also expect communication channels to become blocked meaning computer breakdowns, traffic jams etc. Mercury retrograde periods are the best time to do anything that starts with “re-” for instance; retreat, revise, revision, review… Wait until after Feb 11th to start anything new…
